Rosaveel - Ros an Mhíl - Co. Galway - Ireland

Rossaveel (Irish : "Ros an Mhíl") is a Gaeltacht village in the Connemara area of County Galway, Ireland. Rossaveel harbor is the main ferry port for the Aran Islands. It is also the chief fishing harbour of County Galway.
Rossaveel (en irlandais : "Ros un Mhil") est un village gaëlique de la région du Connemara dans le Comté de Galway. C'est le principal port de ferry pour les îles d'Aran. C'est aussi un important port de Pêche de la région.

Rossaveel Harbor - Ros an Mhíl - Cashla Bay - Cuan Chasla

The Rossaveel Irish name "Ros an Mhíl" means "peninsula of the whale or sea monster". Cashla Bay is the only protected harbour on the North side of Galway Bay.
Le nom irlandais "Ros un Mhil" signifie "péninsule de la baleine ou du monstre marin". Cashla Bay est le seul port protégé de la côte au nord de la baie de Galway.

Tonacrick Martello Tower

The Tonacrick Martello tower is one of many watch towers built along the west coast, some old some more recent. This one appears to be more recent (start of 19th century) and was probably built to guard the entrance to Cuan Chasla (Cashla Bay), which has one of the safest anchorages on this part of the coast.
La tour Martello de la péninsule de Tonacrick est l'une des nombreuses tours de guet construites le long de la côte ouest. Cette tour semble être assez récente (début du 19ème siècle environ) et a probablement été construite pour garder l'entrée de le Baie de Cashla Bay qui constitue l'un des abris les plus sûrs de la côte.
