Half a mile north from
the village of Cowragh is Port Chorrúch, a sheltered little bay opened on the Galway Bay with an isolated pond at the east of the area. The bay is a very important ornithological site and provide an excellent habitat. Up to 50 grey seals sun themselves and feed in the shallows. They can be seen lying on the rocks at low or mid tide, while at high tide they hunt for fish such as Pollock and Salmon. The seal grey may weigh up to 507 lbs. |

A 1 km au nord de Cowragh se trouve Port Chorrúch, une baie ouverte sur la baie de Galway, avec un étang isolé à l'est .
