Ireland - Co. Donegal - Rathlin O'Birne Island (Reachlainn Uí Bhirn) from Carrigan Head

The Rathlin O'Birne wind-swept island, which is fully exposed to extremely powerful wave action from the Atlantic on its south and west coasts, is dominated by a maritime grass sward. Several small islets occur off the western shore. The island is uninhabited and has an automated lighthouse (since 1974).

Les côtes sud et ouest de la petite île de Rathlin O'Birne sont directement exposées aux vents et aux vagues puissantes de l'océan Atlantique. On y trouve donc une végétation basse essentiellement composée d'herbe grasse. De nombreux rochers bordent la côte ouest de l'île. L'île est inhabitée et abrite un phare complètement automatisé (depuis 1974).
