The Ferry journey from Burtonport to the pier in Leabgarrow, Arranmore Island, passes between a number of small islands including Rutland Island (Inis Mhic an Doirn) and Inishcoo (Inis Cú), before crossing Aran Roads, a stretch of open Atlantic water. 

Le trajet en ferry depuis Burtonport jusqu'à la cale de Leabgarrow, sur l'île d'Arranmore, passe dans un dédale de petites îles en empruntant un chenal étroit entre les îles de Rutland (Inis Mhic an Doirn) et d'Inishcoo (Inis Cú), avant de traverser la baie de Carricklea ("Aran Roads"), une étendue d'eau ouverte sur l'Atlantique.
