Northern Ireland - Co. Antrim - Dunluce Castle - The Mermaid's Cave

At the foot of Dunluce's cliff, there is a sea cave which cuts entirely through the rock to the land. Being accessible by sea and land, it made an excellent for anyone landing (or indeed fleeing) the castle.

Au pied des falaises sur lesquelles repose le château de Dunluce s'ouvre une grotte qui traverse le massif de part en part. Accessible depuis la mer, cette grotte naturelle offrit un excellent passage pour ceux qui assiégeaient ou au contraire fuyaient le château.
