This small harbour date from about 1850, and were formerly coastguard harbour associated with a look-out station on Garron Point. The Antrim Plateau provided commanding views to sea, and a series of coastguard stations was created along the coast to keep track of passing
boats.
Ce petit port date de 1850 environ et servait aux garde-côtes qui disposaient également à la pointe de Garron d'une station d'observation. Le plateau d'Antrim offre de larges vues sur la mer,
ce qui permit d'y installer plusieurs stations de gardes côtes pour surveiller le traffic maritime.
