Knocknalina Lighthouse

Located on a promentory (known as Ballyglass Point) on the west side of the entrance to the narrow portion of Broadhaven Bay, about 2 milles northeast of Knocknalina, this lighthouse was built in 1848, initially as a daymark. The light marks the start of the approach to Belmullet.

Situé sur un promontoire rocheux à la Pointe de Ballyglass à u Sud-Ouest de la Baie de Broadhaven, à environ 3 km au Nord-Est du village de Knocknalina, ce phare a été construit en 1848, initialement comme une marque diurne. Le phare marque le début de l'approche vers le port de Belmullet.
